Permalink enchantedengland:    Rhodes Minnis, Kent. Now, I had never heard of Rhodes Minnis, supposedly in Kent; so I decided there was no such place. It was all Balderdash and Rubbish! Rubberdash and balderish! I KNOW Kent! Rye is just on the border! And there are a great number of “Kent and Sussex” guidebooks, all of which I own and have tragically memorised. Anyway I’ve been there, so I also memorised the county map.    As you probably already know, however; I am always wrong when I am certain I am right. There is indeed a Rhodes Minnis, outside of Folkestone, comprised of 100 houses, a Village Hall, and a Methodist Chapel. They have Flower Shows and Grass Track Motorcycle Meetings and Yoga Classes on Mondays from 7.00-8.30.
